Short-haired cat breeds

Short-haired cat breeds do not look at all like long-haired cats. There is a distinct difference between the elegance of the full-haired cat and the sleeker, more athletic style of a shorthair. This is obviously a matter of taste.

Certainly, cat breeds with a thick coat shed much more than cat breeds with a lighter coat. A short-haired cat is a good choice for a cat and requires much less maintenance. It will not be necessary to brush it daily to detangle it.

Finally, short-haired cats are generally better tolerated by people with allergies. This substance is present in the saliva of cats. It is deposited on their fur when they groom themselves. Because shorthair cats shed less, there is less of this in the atmosphere.
