Short-haired dog breeds
Short-haired dog breeds generally have a more athletic physique than long-haired dogs.
It is true that it is much more practical to have a short-haired dog, in the sense that its coat needs much less maintenance. However, depending on the breed of dog, the shedding will not necessarily be less substantial. Instead, it is more a question of determining the type of hair, for example, if it is rather dense, fine, or curly.
It is recommended to wash your dog every one to two months so that it will have a clean and shiny coat.
Last but not least, even if it has a short coat, your dog will have a much silkier coat if it is well fed and has a healthy lifestyle. It is important to not neglect this aspect.
A few short-haired dog breeds are the German Shepherd, the Husky, the Labrador, the Beauceron, the Dachshund, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Pug, the Basset Hound, the Beagle, the Weimar Braque, the Bulldog, the Dalmatian, and many others.
